In the fall of 2016, Sekyiwa joined forces with writer/director Peter Ricq to bring the costumes alive (no pun intended!) for his zombie-slasher odyssey, Dead Shack.  Under the premise 'while staying at a run-down cabin in the woods during the weekend, three children must save their parents from the neighbor who intends to feed them to her un-dead family', Sekyiwa brought a nostalgic feel to celluloid with a muted palate and classic outfitting to both the dead and undead, alike.

In April 2018, Sekyiwa was nominated for a Leo Award for 'Best Costume Design Motion Picture' for her work on the thriller Dead Shack, and in May 2018 she was presented with award for her win in the category.
